From time to time, Espinosa Premium Cigars has been known to cause a stir in the premium cigar world, releasing cigars in unique and unconventional packaging arrangements like you've never seen... Whether it's the couch-shaped box from 2015's The Alibi cigar, or a brightly colored box that swings on elevated hinges, Espinosa likes to keep cigar enthusiasts on their toes!
Las 6 Provincias LHB is one such cigar. First introduced in the summer of 2018, Las 6 Provincias LHB pays homage to the Espinosa family's Cuban heritage, representing the original six political provinces of pre-Castro-era Cuba. As such, Espinosa has planned a total of six releases in the coming years, each commemorating one of the six provinces. The first cigar in the series is coined "LHB," representing La Habana (a province that includes Havana).
In a sense, Las 6 Provincias LHB represents a new direction for Espinosa, showcasing the company's most premium offering to date. Rolled at A.J. Fernández's boutique San Lotano Factory in Ocotal, Nicaragua, LHB makes use of a rich Ecuadorian Habano 2000 wrapper, which is secured over high-grade Nicaraguan binder and fillers. The cigars are then bound in bright and colorful packaging to match the spirit of Cuba's heritage. Expect a medium-plus body that balances strength and flavor beautifully.
NOTE: Las 6 Provincias LHB was released in two packaging arrangements—one limited edition and one regular production. Cigars that are sold in counts of 20 are packaged in the aforementioned swinging hinge-style boxes (numbered and limited edition). Cigars that are sold in counts of 10 will showcase the same cigars, only they are packaged in traditional wooden boxes.
